Ride Report: 12.08.13

First significant snowfall of the year and generally suffering from cabin fever after a day of watching football:  grabbed my daughter’s mountain bike with the almost flat tires and jacked the seat post up way past the safety line.

No pictures to prove it, but I had some fun crunching through the ice covered snow (2″) on the street and in our yard.  It was enough to get me thinking about finding a used steel 26″ hardtail and building up an adventure/tourer.

I also wore my Outdoor Research Compressor pants for the first time.  At 27F, with a pair of thin wool tights on underneath, and not riding all that hard; they were too warm.  They just might prove perfect for sleeping.

Distance: 2 miles  2013: 1149.8
