Tom Milton of Selle Titanico fame has died of an apparent heart attack during a brevet event. I’ve had my Titanico even before I bought the LHT and used it on different bikes. Before making the purchase, I spoke with Tom on the phone and have since exchanged e-mails. I always found him very knowledgable and kind. I hope someone is able to pick up the business and continue with developing and producing these saddles. He’ll be missed.
I get hits at least once a week for the Busch and Mueller Ride and Charge. This is a little unit that allows the dynamo to charge the AAA batteries in the Ixon light. That would then allow you to use those batteries in other appliances if you’re on the road or camping. If you’re looking for an inexpensive Ride and Charge, make me an offer.
Finally, I reserved a campsite at Codorus for the night of Saturday, May 22nd. At this point, it’s looking like a 35 mile ride from Lewisberry, but another option is to park in York at the head of the Heritage RT, ride to Seven Valleys, and then take the roads to the park. We’ll just have to see how things develop, but I’m getting psyched for the whole trip.
