If you ride a bike and haven’t seen this one, you need to come out of your cave for five minutes. I won’t link to it because it’s everywhere else.
First, you can’t help but be in awe of the skill/balance/strength/balls to perform all of the stunts shown. I’m really a little leary about letting the veloterrorist see it, because I’m sure he would be inspired to go out and attempt some of that type of riding.
There is a part of me that questions what damage, if any, he might be doing. ‘can’t really say about what the bashguard, etc… might be doing to some of the stonework that he comes in contact with. While visually impressive, I have to draw the line at doing those sort of tricks if it’s damaging other’s property.
Finally, and maybe its the sound track effect, you just have to respect the athleticism of it all. I was thinking of some of the jumps and how one would need to power their legs, via outright plyometrics, to get the bike to respond like that. I would imagine this cat practices all day, everyday. Far more impressive than the X games half pipe stuff.
I can see this video inspiring an entire generation of “free riders.” Better stock up on the BMX inventory.
